Reminder: Register for the 5th ETSI Hackathon, Nov. 15–16, 2026, Granada, Spain / Hybrid Event

Dear ETSI community,

This is a kind reminder that registration is now open for the 5th ETSI Hackathon, which will take place on November 15–16, 2026, in hybrid format at Hotel Saray in Granada, Spain, immediately after the IEEE NSS/MIC/RTSD 2026 meeting.

The 5th ETSI Hackathon will bring together PET imaging researchers, software developers, scanner data experts, open-source reconstruction contributors, and members of the broader emission tomography community to continue developing practical use cases for PETSIRD, ETSI’s open-source PET list-mode raw data standard.

This year’s hackathon will place particular emphasis on:

  • converters from commercial and prototype PET list-mode formats to PETSIRD;
  • PETSIRD input/output interfaces for open-source reconstruction and analysis software;
  • automated validation tools for PETSIRD data;
  • acquisition protocols for experimental phantom and clinical test data;
  • continued development and refinement of practical PETSIRD use cases.

Both in-person participation and remote participation will be supported. In-person participation is strongly encouraged for colleagues attending IEEE NSS/MIC/RTSD 2026 in Granada.

Registration is free but required for all participants. Registered participants will receive further instructions closer to the event, including subgroup coordination details and remote participation information.

We warmly invite both returning ETSI contributors and new participants interested in PET raw data standardization, PETSIRD development, PET list-mode processing, open-source software, scanner data conversion, and practical validation workflows to join us in Granada or online.

We look forward to another productive and collaborative ETSI Hackathon.
