We are very excited to announce that a major update (v. 0.2.0) of ETSI’s PETSIRD standard for PET list-mode data has just been released. The main features of the new release are:
- major updates to the model: coincidence and triple events, scanner geometry, detection efficiencies and external signals. These are the result of discussions within the Data Elements (core members) sub-group of the ETSI Consortium.
- auto-deployment to PyPI, i.e.
pip install petsird. - updates to some support software, including yardl and conda
This PETSIRD release will be used as our base reference in our upcoming 2nd ETSI Hackathon event that is starting tomorrow (Sunday Nov 3rd) in Tampa, FL, USA. We are all very much looking forward to working with all the registered ETSI hackathon developers over the next couple of days to build an expanded set of software tools showcasing the usability of PETSIRD for nuclear medicine and molecular imaging.
