Dear ETSI followers
we are only 2 weeks away from the 2nd ETSI Hackathon event to be held in Tampa, FL, USA, on November 3rd-4th 2024 at the Hilton Embassy Suites Downtown Tampa Hotel!
According to the latest news, the Tampa Convention Center, where the IEEE NSS/MIC/RTSD conference is to be held the week before our hackathon, did not sustain any significant damage from Hurricane Milton and has returned to normal operations. Therefore, the IEEE NSS/MIC/RTSD organizing committee is back into full swing for their in-person meeting preparations. Our venue hotel is also back at normal operations and so we will resume our plans for an in-person hackathon meeting. Of course, we continue to support remote online participation for those who have already registered for that option before. Registration currently remains open only for in-person attendance.
Meanwhile, for better preparation for the hackathon, we encourage all registered participants to enroll into our hackathon’s Discord server, if they have not done already so, to identify potential developers sub-groups with which they would be interest to work during the hackathon, as well as coordinate their plans with the other participants. It should also be noted that you may visit our renamed PETSIRD GitHub repository at ETSI’s GitHub page to find the most updated definitions of the PETSIRD standard that will also be used during the hackathon.
Finally, we have also uploaded a playlist with the major video recordings from our previous hackathon at ETSI’s YouTube channel. We highly encourage the hackathon participants to view those videos before the hackathon to find out about, or be reminded of, the procedures we followed during the previous hackathon and what were the outcomes, as we are now planning to resume from that point with more updated and expanded PETSIRD use-cases.
