The Emission Tomography Standardization Initiative (ETSI) was officially launched in early 2022 with an inaugural meeting of ~50 academic and industry experts in emission tomography organized by the Physics, Instrumentation & Data Sciences Council (PIDSC) of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI). ETSI’s objective is to define and support a standardized format for raw data produced by emission tomography imaging systems, including PET and SPECT scanners, across the academia and industry.
